The Green Business Challenge in Northern Netherlands brought together 24 international students to tackle real business cases, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the green economy.
Empowering future leaders: International students drive green innovation in northern Netherlands
The Green Business Challenge was a dynamic week-long event and road trip in Northern Netherlands. A total of 24 international students collaborated on real business cases that were put forward by 3 companies. The event was organized by BBENG, an agency dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the region.
The Green Business Challenge provides young professionals with opportunities to develop skills, forge friendships, and explore careers in the green economy. Each edition focused on themes like circular economy, biobased solutions, and climate change, aiming to inspire a shift towards sustainable practices and connect local businesses with global talent.
Held on June 13th at Paques Balk's BioBizz hub, the event featured keynote speaker Jaap Vogelaar. Carla Frijters, Development manager at Paques hosted a team that evaluated the most attractive markets for Natural Flocculants, a new tech. development within Paques.
